HYDERABAD: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Sunday stated that the party's Assembly constituency-level meetings, which will be held on Tuesday ahead of the party's plenary on April 27, will prepare the party for the state elections.
Around four lakh leaders from villages to Assembly constituencies would attend the gathering, with 3,000 to 3,500 party activists attending each meeting. The occasion would be used to further raise awareness about the BRS government’s welfare schemes.
Rama Rao, who held a teleconference with the party leaders on Sunday to discuss the agenda and announced a plan to make the meetings successful, stated that the party will discuss six political resolutions on agriculture, welfare, Palle Pragathi-Pattana Pragathi, education and employment, BJP's failures and local issues. The first resolution should integrate agriculture, electricity and irrigation projects and the progress achieved through the government’s programmes as well as discuss farmer welfare schemes.
On the second resolution, which focuses on welfare, Rama Rao underlined the importance of discussing the schemes implemented by the government for people of various ages.
The third resolution would address education and employment issues, providing detailed information on the government's programmes related to primary and higher education, as well as initiatives and allocations. The resolution would also cover the allocation of Rs 1.25 lakh per student through gurukul schools, upgrading gurukul schools to junior colleges, unemployment as well as the creation of job opportunities through TS-iPASS and the private sector. The Centre's bias against Telangana which had hampered the education sector will also be discussed under the resolution.
The fourth resolution will focus on the transformation of villages and towns through 'Palle Pragathi-Pattana Pragathi' initiatives, as well as the accolades they have received at the Centre, while the fifth resolution will focus on the failures of the BJP-led government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, including price increases. Rama Rao stated people blame the state government even though the Centre was to be held responsible for the price rise.
Rama Rao proposed that the sixth resolution should focus on local issues and should address the Centre’s alleged inaction in granting critical projects to Telangana and its failure to respond to the people's demands
