HYDERABAD: Telangana scored an emphatic, 5-1 win against Goa in the league phase of the Hockey India Senior National Division-B championship in Jhansi on Tuesday.

Surya Prakash Potluri scored the first goal in the 18th minute only to see H Thrishul Ganapathi level the scores within a minute, however, Telangana dominated the rest of the game with PR Aiyappa (21st minute), P Neeraj Kumar (23rd minute), Rohit Singh (28th) and Talla Raju (39th) scoring one goal apiece before half-time itself.
In the next match, Telangana will take on Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday.
