B V S K Lingeswara Rao of AP won a silver medal in the BWF

B V S K Lingeswara Rao of Andhra Pradesh won a silver medal in the BWF World Senior Badminton Championships at Pattaya, Thailand, in the mixed doubles (55 years & above) category.

Rao partnered Suzanne Vinglet from Tamil Nadu.

A record number of 54 countries participated, with around 1,700 players taking part in the championships.

India won seven medals, including two silver and five bronze.
