Marcus Stoinis played the best knock ever seen at the Chepauk by any batter in the IPL to help the Lucknow Super Giants stun the Chennai Super Kings in their own den by 6 wickets in yet another high-scoring encounter.

Chasing a mammoth 211 for victory, Stoinis scored 124 not out to steer his team to victory with 3 balls to spare.

The big Aussie all-rounder smashed 13 fours and 6 sixes during his 63-ball innings. His score is now the highest by any batter in the IPL at Chepauk which helped LSG register the highest successful run chase at this venue.

Nicholas Pooran also played an important cameo of 34 off 15 balls to aid his team's cause. For the home team, Matheesha Pathirana was the most impressive with 2 wickets while Deepak Chahar and Mustafizur Rahman got one each

LSG have now defeated CSK twice on the bounce this season and they have now jumped over them in fourth position on the points table with 5 wins from 8 T20s so far

Mid-Innings Score:

Chennai Super Kings posted 210 for 4 in 20 overs after a captain's knock from Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube at the jam-packed Chepauk stadium.

Gaikwad played through the innings and remained unbeaten on 108 off 60 balls which consisted of 12 fours and three sixes. Dube played a destructive cameo once again hitting 66 off 27 balls that had a staggering 7 maximums and three boundaries.

It was the 104-run stand between Gaikwad and Dube which propelled Chennai's target past the 200-run mark.

MS Dhoni made a guest appearance as well, finishing the match with a four which triggered a deafening noise which was just more than when Thala entered the ground after Dube's dismissal on the penultimate delivery of the match
