Delhi Capitals have maintained their unbeaten streak in IPL 2025 as they hammered the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by six wickets, consigning the hosts to their second consecutive home defeat this season. The Capitals were led by a sublime batting performance by KL Rahul, who struck an unbeaten 93 to chase down 164.

Delhi Capitals' Axar Patel had earlier won the toss and elected to chase. Although the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) had got off to a brisk start, slamming 61 in less than four overs. It was in the fifth over when Vipraj Nigam's throw that caught Phil Salt short off his ground at the non-striker's end that put the brakes on their scoring. The home side had slid to 117/6 from 61/0 but a late flourish from Tim David lifted the Royal Challengers to 163/7

The Capitals had a top-order collapse of their own but KL Rahul shepherded the situation well, first alongside Axar Patel and then Tristan Stubbs. The partnership with Tristan Stubbs amounted to an unbroken 111 off 55 deliveries as Rahul finished off the game with a six.

Noor Ahmad with 11 wickets and Nicholas Pooran with 288 runs are the purple cap and Orange Cap holders, respectively

Everyone is playing with confidence, it feels nice" - Axar Patel

At the post-game presentation, Axar said the thought of holding back the pacers was due to the match-ups and the pitch assisting spinners. He explained:

"When we won three in three, thought that four out of four could also be possible (smiles). Everyone is playing with confidence, it feels nice (to have won four out of four). We talk about match-ups and what is happening off the surface. I felt they like to face pacers, so tried to hold them back. Then the ball was spinning and bouncing, so thought of bowling spin in the powerplay
