Vijayawada, January 10, : MP Kesineni Sivanath congratulated Tamil Nadu for winning the 68th School Games Under-19 Girls National Volleyball Tournament and applauded Karnataka for securing the runner-up position. The tournament concluded at PB Siddhartha Arts and Science Junior College in Vijayawada.
Kesineni Sivanath, the chief guest for the prize distribution ceremony, presented the championship trophy to the Tamil Nadu team, who triumphed over Karnataka in the final match.
He also announced the development of international sports facilities in the Amaravati capital region and confirmed that the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium would be fully available for athletes after January 26.
Highlighting CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s vision of transforming Andhra Pradesh into a sports powerhouse, MP Sivanath mentioned his own contributions, including modernizing 147 government school grounds in NTR District with personal funds.
He also shared plans to distribute eight types of sports equipment to these schools on January 23, marking Minister Nara Lokesh's birthday.
