Hyderabad: Para athletes from Andhra Pradesh put up a fine show, winning a gold, three silver and three bronze medals on the first day of the Para National Athletics Meet at Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday.

R Ravi won the gold in shot put (F40 category), K Yadgiri a silver in shot put (T54 category), G Venkateswarlu a silver in 100m (T42), B Srihari a bronze in long jump (T13), and M Lokesh a bronze in high jump (T42) in the men’s section.In the women’s section, V Bhavani — who won two gold medals in the Para World Athletics Meet in Czech Republic last week — settled for a silver in the 100m and a bronze in long jump in the T46 category.
