STAFF REPORTER

Tadikonda MLA speaking in the Legislative Assembly on the issue of land pooling - Amaravati farmers welcomed as part of the resolution on Amaravati capital.

Amaravati will be re-named as the state capital after a gap of 13 years
I thank all the members for their participation in this historic resolution.
• The Centre has given an opportunity to amend Section 5 (2) of the bifurcation Act for the legalization of Amaravati.
Amaravati has been an important capital city since the Satavahana period.
It is also a place rich in culture and traditions.
Chinese pilgrims like Acharya Nagarjuna and Hiuen Tsang have shown the history of this place to the world
• Chief Minister Chandrababu had the opportunity to develop such an area as the capital after the state was separated
The construction of a new capital in a state that is financially troubled by the hardships and losses of partition is not a matter of words
That is why instead of the Land Acquisition Act, an innovative experiment of land acquisition has been done. Farmers have lost their lands.
34 thousand acres of land was given to the farmers for the capital. The farmers are benefitting from it.
Construction was completed in 58 days. This is a model for the country
This process has also set a world record. The former ruler wanted 30,000 acres for the capital
But after that, there were many obstacles. Farmers feel insecure
• Emails were created that Amaravati would not work as the state capital and the World Bank would also not give loans
The cemetery was called a desert. Farmers were harassed. Faced with this, the farmers turned it into a war.
After the alliance came to power, the capital is being rebuilt again. It is commendable that this decision has been taken as a permanent capital
