Vijayawada: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni)’s wife, Kesineni Janaki Lakshmi, presented awards to the winners of the Yogasana City League 2024-25, organized under the aegis of Asmit and Yogasana Sports Association Andhra Pradesh.

The event was held at the indoor stadium of Siddhartha Arts and Science College, Moghalrajpuram. As the chief guest, Kesineni Janaki Lakshmi graced the International Women’s Day celebrations organized by the Yogasana Sports Association Andhra Pradesh. She distributed prizes to the children who emerged victorious in the Yogasana competitions and keenly observed their impressive yoga demonstrations.

Additionally, several distinguished women were felicitated for their contributions:

Chagarlapudi Kalavati, President of Sri Shiva Lalitha Mandali, who has been dedicated to spiritual recitation for 33 years.

Akkiraju Venkata Ramana, who offers free Kolatam (folk dance) training.

M.V.K. Padmaja, President of NTR Mahila Patanjali Yoga Samiti.

Speaking at the event, Kesineni Janaki Lakshmi emphasized the importance of empowering young girls with awareness of women’s empowerment from an early age. She advised children to use mobile phones only when necessary and to develop a habit of reading books.

The event saw the presence of several dignitaries, including NTR District Telugu Mahila President Chennapati Usharani,  President Radhika, Secretary Prem Kumar, Joint Secretary Prof. Acharya Nagarjuna University. M. Venkata Ramana, Program Director Rajeshwari, Program Manager Dr. Sudha, and others.
