Former Joint Director for Prosecution Appointed as Special PP for Maoist Keshavarao Cases
- Advocate Raghuram appointed as prosecutor on behalf of the Government.
- Cases to be tried in Additional District VII Court.
Srikakulam: The Government of AP has appointed as a Special Public Prosecutor (Special PP) to try cases against Dunna Keshavarao alias Azad.
In this regard, it has appointed Justice Veeraghuram as the Judge on Tuesday. 16 cases are pending against Keshavarao. Keshavarao has been arrested in Odisha in cases pending in another states. According to the Supreme Court orders, a special court i.e. VII Additional District Court has been formed exclusively to try cases against him. Remuneration of 40,000 per month to be paid for the Special PP, as per the order. In the past, Raghuram has worked as a prosecutor in Srilakulam.
