AI utilized in every govt depart to foster new and innovative ideas: CS K. Vijayanand

Speaking at the workshop on AI , Chief Secretary to the Government K. Vijayanand said ,” This  two-day workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and related technologies is a commendable initiative. It will aid in delivering timely and quality services to the public through technological integration and AI across various government departments. Over 200 capacity-building training programs have already been conducted in the state, training more than 9,000 officers and staff. AI and related technologies can be effectively utilized in every government department to foster new and innovative ideas.”

Welcoming the participants at the workshop inauguration, ITE&C Dept. Secretary Katamneni Bhaskar said that the workshop will significantly help in delivering quality services to the public through government departments. He emphasized that training is a continuous process, and noted that over 300 use cases will be explained during the workshop. He added that the workshop is being conducted in a two-way communication format, allowing officials to clarify their doubts and resolve issues. He urged everyone to make the most of this opportunity.”

Speaking at the workshop, Prakash Kumar, CEO of Wadhwani Center for Government Digital Transformation, said…
•    “Our organization was established 20 years ago. Since then, we have been offering training to students and professionals in areas such as entrepreneurship, skilling, government digital transformation, innovation, and research.
•    Training programs like this are being conducted to develop senior officials such as IAS, IPS, and IFS officers as AI Champions and to groom young officers as AI Enablers.
•    He explained various AI concepts that have already been implemented in governance and highlighted several AI technologies currently in use.
•    In particular, he elaborated on the application of AI in sectors like education, medicine, healthcare, traffic control, grievance registration, and structural monitoring through systems like FeedFab.
•    He also described various AI technologies that assist teachers (Guru Mitras) in preparing lesson plans and delivering high-quality education to students.
