AP CM Chandrababu and Minister Nara Lokesh Honor Cricketer Nitish Kumar Reddy
ACA Presents Rs. 25 Lakh Cheque; Government Promises Residential Land
Amaravati/Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to nurturing sports talent was on full display as CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Minister for Education and IT Nara Lokesh honored cricketer K. Nitish Kumar Reddy for his stellar performance in the Border-Gavaskar series. The ACA President, Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath, and ACA Secretary, Rajya Sabha MP Sana Satish, played a pivotal role in coordinating the recognition events.
Nitish Kumar Reddy, a cricketer from Visakhapatnam, who made headlines with a century in his debut Test match, was congratulated by CM Chandrababu Naidu at the Secretariat on Thursday. The CM, appreciating Nitish's achievements, presented a cheque of Rs. 25 lakh announced by ACA President Kesineni Sivanath. CM Chandrababu also praised the leadership of MP Kesineni Sivanath and assured the government’s continued support to athletes. He promised to allot residential land to Nitish Kumar Reddy soon.
Later, Nitish Kumar Reddy met Minister Nara Lokesh at his residence in Undavalli. The minister felicitated him with a shawl and presented a Venkateswara Swamy idol as a token of appreciation. Lokesh interacted with Nitish to learn about his cricketing journey and expressed hope that the young cricketer would achieve many more records and victories. He reiterated the state government’s dedication to providing opportunities and support for young athletes.
ACA officials, including Vice President P. Venkata Rama Prashanth, Treasurer Dandamudi Srinivas, ACA Councillor Dantu Gouri Vishnutej, and K. Muthyala Reddy, participated in both events.
