Amravati, May 30: Chief Secretary K.Vijayanand has directed the Collectors of all districts to expedite the establishment of Prime Minister Suryagarh units in the State. On Friday, he held a video conference with all District Collectors from the State Secretariat and reviewed the progress of establishment of P.M.Suryagarh units. He said that while nearly 85,000 people have applied for establishment of P.M.Suryagarh units across the state, but only 12,172 units have been established so far. While a target for establishment of at least 10,000 units has been set to each district, Palanadu, Bapatla, Prakasam, N.T.R., Krishna, Guntur districts as well as CRDA are lagging far behind in achieving the targets. He directed the District Collectors to expedite the establishment of the units. He also directed all the Higher Officials of the Power Distribution Companies in the State to fully cooperate with the District Collectors in achieving this goal. Similarly, he clarified that instructions will be issued to the bankers in the SLBC to be conducted very soon to resolve the problems to be faced from various banks in sanctioning bank loans for the establishment of these units.
