Amaravati, December 9: Revenue, Stamps and Registration Minister Anagani Satya Prasad said the government is committed to transforming Andhra Pradesh into a state free of land disputes. Speaking at a media briefing at the Secretariat he said the department is working with complete integrity to resolve long pending revenue issues. A review meeting led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu resulted in key decisions to modernise the revenue system and adopt AI based processes to eliminate errors.

He said mistakes in earlier surveys across 7,600 villages were corrected over the last year and a half and Resurvey 2.0 will be completed by January 2027. Auto mutation has been launched in both rural and urban areas and 1.74 lakh mutations have already been completed. Once a land registration is completed the mutation will automatically reflect online and documents will be delivered to landowners by registered post. Passbook distribution delays caused by tender issues will be resolved and faster issuance has been ordered.

The Minister said vacant Joint Collector posts in all 26 districts will be filled within a week. Joint Collectors will be assigned exclusive responsibility to resolve revenue issues within one year. The government will update the 22A list and remove properties purchased through government or court auctions. He said pre hold lands in the state should total 36 lakh acres but only 11 lakh acres are currently accounted for and the issue will be resolved within two months.

He said the coalition government is committed to public welfare. Caste certificates are being linked to Aadhaar and 2.77 crore certificates have been issued so far. About 86 percent of applications received through PGRS have been cleared and the remaining will be resolved soon. Video conferences with district collectors are being held every Thursday to monitor land related issues.

For Inam land disputes the Revenue and Endowments Departments have been instructed to submit a report within 45 days. The Minister said the Registration Department will undergo major reforms after studying systems in other states and countries and registration offices may be redesigned similar to passport service centers.

He urged all landowners with joint LPMs to complete subdivision immediately. There are about two lakh such cases in the state and officials have been instructed to create awareness among them.
