AMARAVATI: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu praising the team spirit of officials for achieving 12.05 per cent growth rate last year, stated that 11.28 growth rate achieved in first half year this year against national average growth rate at 8.7 per cent, asked the officials to work hard to reach the target of achieving 16 per cent growth rate.

Addressing a review meeting with ministers, secretaries on GSDP, RTGS and Pattadar pass books at secretariat today, the Chief Minister said that Andhra Pradesh attracted huge investments through implementation of speed of doing business and speed of delivering governance. Revamping of Revenue system was taken up and started distribution of pattadar pass books with Government seal which was tamper proof. He said the total land survey will be compelted by 2026 and land registrations will be made tamper proof using technology and by linking with EKYC. He advised the officials to bring awareness among people on the good works taken up by the government as some people are trying to politicize every thing. He said that some persons not even not spared God and trying to politicize issues of Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam.

The Chief Minister made it clear that Polavaram project will be completed by 2027 June before Godavari pushkaram. He said if the Polavaram project was completed there is possibility of supplying water to Rayalaseema through Nallamala Sagar and further chance to supply surplus water to Telangana also. Stating that he never objected Kaleswaram project and there is no loss for any one through Polavaram project as 3000 tmc of water flowing waste into sea. He said that we are able to save Visakha steel plant which was revived with Rs 1200 cr central assistance. Andhra Pradesh turned as destination for investments and as per the Bank of Baroda report 25 per cent investments in the country were  bagged by Andhra Pradesh alone. Over 16 lakh youth will get employment opportunity when all the investments materialized. In a major breakthrough Google came forward to set up AI data centre with an investment of 15 billion dollars. Quantum computer will be a reality from Amaravati within six months. In addition through power sector reforms the power purchase cost reduced by 1.19 paise per cent. In water resources also the state is able to  store 970 tmc of water in various reservoirs.

The Chief Minister said that the coalition government  is marching forward balancing welfare-Development and Good governance. He said that AP stands ahead in implementation of welfare schemes and set a mile stone by distributing Rs 50,000 crore social pensions in 18 months period. Besides the state government  credited Rs 10,090 crore into the accounts of 67 lakh mothers under Talliki Vandanam scheme. By implementing Stree Sakthi scheme free travel facility for women the state government spent Rs 1114 crore so far and 3.5 journeys were recorded. Under Annadata Sukheebhava Rs 6310 cr deposited into the accounts of 46 lakh farmers. Under Deepam scheme two crore free cylinders were distributed to women.
