CS Preliminary review on Prime Minister's visit
Amaravati, April 2: In the backdrop of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Amaravati this month for the resumption of the construction works of the public capital of Amaravati and the laying of the foundation stone and inauguration of various other development works, Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand held a preliminary review with officials at the State Secretariat on Wednesday. The arrangements will be reviewed in full once the Prime Minister's visit is finalized. In the meantime, the CS instructed the officials to focus fully on the arrangements to be made in terms of the concerned departments from now on. The CS advised the officials of the relevant departments to start the appropriate work from now on, including flattening an area of more than 50 acres so that the Prime Minister's visit program can be held in the same area where the P-4 program was recently launched, and to make appropriate parking and other arrangements. DGP, CRDA officials, Guntur District Collector, SP, Medical and Health Commissioner Veera Pandian CS Vijayanand ordered other officials to immediately visit the area and prepare a comprehensive report.
In addition that CS Vijayanand instructed the officials to prepare a list of those officials who had worked actively during the Prime Minister's visit to the state in the past to fully utilize the services of those officials. In view of the current summer, arrangements have to be made to provide adequate facilities to all the VVIPs, VIPs, people and others who will come to the program. CS Vijayanand reiterated that a full review of the department-wise arrangements will be conducted once the Prime Minister's visit is finalized and appropriate preliminary work should be started in the meantime.
General Administration Principal Secretary Mukesh Kumar Meena said that when the Prime Minister came to lay the foundation stone for the construction of the capital city of Amaravati in the past, several committees were formed with officials, ministers and others to manage and supervise various works and the same committees have to be formed now as well.
