Addanki: Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar stated that the coalition government under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is giving utmost priority to rural healthcare and ensuring that people in interior areas receive accessible and quality medical services. On Friday, the Minister toured Santamaguluru village in Addanki constituency along with Health Minister Satya Kumar. The Ministers inaugurated the newly constructed Primary Health Centre built at a cost of ₹1.66 crore in Santamaguluru. They also inaugurated the Santamaguluru Secretariat–2 and dedicated it to the public. Later, free bicycles were distributed to school students.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Gottipati said that construction of PHCs in Santamaguluru, Addanki, and Korisapadu has been completed and they will soon be opened for public use. He added that ₹1.50 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of the Elchuru PHC and works will begin shortly. He expressed gratitude to the Health Minister for promptly sanctioning funds required for strengthening medical facilities in Addanki. He announced that 38 Sub-Health Centres sanctioned for Addanki mandal will soon enter the construction phase and instructed revenue officials to complete land acquisition immediately. He further said that the government will name the buildings after land donors who come forward to contribute land for the health centres. The Minister informed that a five-bed dialysis centre and an AIDS treatment facility will be established in Addanki to ensure that patients do not have to travel long distances for specialised care. He also said that the existing 30-bed hospital in Addanki will be modernised with improved facilities.

Minister Gottipati criticised the previous YSRCP government, saying that public health development during their tenure remained confined to files and no real progress was achieved on the ground. He said that even the Santamaguluru Secretariat was left half-built and that important government offices at the Nagarjuna Sagar command area lacked proper buildings during the previous regime. He emphasised that such negligence will not be repeated under the coalition government.
He stated that the coalition government is committed to fulfilling every promise made by Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan during the elections. As part of this commitment, the government has sanctioned a special Revenue Division for Addanki and has taken steps to re-align Addanki constituency back into Prakasam district, addressing long-pending demands of the local people. He asserted that unlike the previous government, the present administration has no place for discrimination or vindictive politics and is moving forward with people’s welfare as its only objective. He appreciated the consistent support extended by Health Minister Satya Kumar for the development of Addanki and noted that his close rapport with Prime Minister Narendra Modi has helped in securing additional resources for the healthcare sector.

Speaking about educational development, Minister Gottipati said that the Mega Parents–Teachers Meeting was organised to understand students’ learning conditions, their daily challenges, and the overall schooling environment. He lauded the reforms introduced by Education Minister Nara Lokesh, including the recruitment of 16,300 teachers through DSC and the decision to fill teacher vacancies every year on a regular basis to strengthen the education system. He mentioned that, with the support of donors, 350 bicycles were provided by Continental Coffee Chairman Rajendra Prasad and 150 bicycles were provided through the Assist NGO to students in Santamaguluru.

The Minister criticised the previous government for neglecting school education and said that the Santamaguluru SC Hostel had been closed due to lack of proper facilities. After the formation of the coalition government, the hostel has been modernised and reopened for students, ensuring better accommodation and amenities. Officials from various departments and leaders of the coalition participated in the programme.
