Pattadar pass books will be distributed with state emblem:CM
Kalugotla (Kurnool dist):Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu stated that the state government is keen on transforming Andhra Pradesh into a land disputes free state. He announced that by December 2027, land surveys will be completed and Patta Passbooks bearing the official State Emblem will be distributed to farmers and landowners across the state.
The Chief Minister participated in distribution of Pattadar Passbooks under “Mee Bhoomi–Mee Hakku” programme organized at Kalugotla village in Emmiganur constituency of Kurnool district today. He clarified that the Pattadar Passbooks will be issued with the State Emblem and QR codes so that no one can tamper with records in future and there is no scope for corruption. He warned that anyone attempting to tamper with land records would be arrested under the PD Act.
After distributing pattadar pass books to farmers, addressing the meeting the Chief Minister stated that possessing land is a sentiment and livelihood providing security for the family. The coalition government committed to ensure dispute-free land, adequate water for every acre and profitable agriculture for farmers. He said the previous rulers conspired to enslave people through wrong policies. They introduced a flawed Land Titling Act and tried to keep people at their mercy. They printed their photos and names on Patta Passbooks and boundary stones. If people did not give the land they demanded, they were placed under Section 22(A). Under the guise of re-survey Rs 700 crore of public money was misused. He said over 80 per cent of the complaints received from the public have been related to land issues.
The Chief Minister said that the coalition government repealed the Land Titling Act immediately after coming to power and now providing strong security so that no one can lay their hands on people’s land in the future. Each Patta Passbook will have a unique number and a QR code. By scanning the QR code, anyone can instantly access land details. When you scan the QR code in your passbook with your phone, the map displayed will directly guide you to your field. Protecting people’s property is the responsibility of the government. Initially, draft Patta Passbooks were issued, allowing landowners to verify whether personal and land details were correct. eKYC verification has been made mandatory, eliminating the possibility of errors.
As a pilot project, distribution pattadar pass books has begun in 279 villages across the state, with two villages per Assembly constituency. Currently, 1,16,870 draft passbooks are ready, of which eKYC has been completed for 91,038. In Kurnool district, new Patta Passbooks are being distributed to 8,347 beneficiaries across 13 villages. In Kalugotla village alone, 1,178 new passbooks are being distributed. So far, 37.40 lakh Patta Passbooks have been prepared.
