AMARAVATI: Encourage home stays with global standards  in temple towns for the benefit of pilgrims and to encourage temple tourism, observed Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. At the same time encourage home stays in Konaseema region and prepare action plan to involve NRIs also in the project.
Reviewing on tourism sector at secretariat today, the Chief Minister directed the officials to conduct a tourism event in places like Visakhkapatnam, Vijayawada, Amaravati, Tirupati, Anantapur and Kurnool to develop Andhra Pradesh as a tourism hub. The Chief Minister set a target to make ready ten thousand rooms by March 2026 for the  convenience of tourists. He said tourism projects should be developed in all the 175 assembly constituencies.  
The Chief Minister said special focus should be made on setting up Disney world city in Anantapur, development of Kondapalli Khilla with the cooperation of private parties, arranging light and sound show at Undavalli caves, eco toursim in chintapalli, Elephant safari in Kuppam and Dolphin show at Visakhapatnam. He enquired the officials over progress of development works in Araku, Lambasingi and Suryalanka beach as beach experience project was grounded in Suryalanka at a cost of Rs 97 crore. He said tent house cities  should be developed at Gandikota, Araku, Lambasingi and other places. He said special attention should be paid to develop Rajahmundry as tourism hub.
The Chief Minister said priority should be given for heli and sea plane tourism connecting Vijayawada-Srisailam, Gandikota-Bangalore and Visakha-Araku. He directed the officials to celebrate Dasara festival celebrations in Vijayawada on par with Mysore Dasara celebrations.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to utilise the tourism for branding Araku coffee, redsanders toys, Kuchipudi dance, Mangalagiri, Dharmavaram and Venkatagiri handlooms. The Chief Minister advised the officials to organise a beach festival in Suryalanka on world tourism day.
Minister for Tourism Kandula Durgesh and officials were present.
