”Doubling Welfare Alongside Development”

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu Unveils Grand Vision for Kuppam Constituency

Kuppam, July 2, 2025:
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has reiterated his commitment to inclusive growth and good governance, stating that he is serving every household in the state like the eldest son of a family. Speaking at a public gathering in Thumsi, Shanthipuram Mandal as part of his two-day visit to Kuppam constituency, the CM launched and laid the foundation for development and welfare projects worth ₹1,292.74 crore.

The government also signed MoUs with various companies to bring in investments amounting to ₹1,271.65 crore into Kuppam, marking a major step in industrial and economic expansion.

“This is not the 2014 version of me,” CM Naidu declared. “This is the 1995 Chief Minister – more focused, experienced, and battle-tested.”

Massive Development Blueprint for Kuppam

CM Chandrababu Naidu unveiled an ambitious plan to transform Kuppam into a model constituency. The ₹3,890 crore Handri-Neeva project is nearing completion, and water will reach even the last acre of farmland in the region by the end of the year. The CM highlighted that 30.14 km of canal works worth ₹42.07 crore have already been completed.

“Only those who deliver development have the right to speak about welfare. Borrowing recklessly without growth is not governance. We are creating wealth and channeling it to the poor,” said CM Chandrababu Naidu.

Other major infrastructure updates include CC and BT roads under the Swarna Kuppam initiative and universal access to cooking gas. ₹125 crore worth of development projects have already been completed in the constituency.

Brand Kuppam on the Rise

Positioning Kuppam as a growing economic hub, Naidu announced plans for a new airport with an investment of ₹850 crore and emphasized local branding and market access for products manufactured in the region. The government is also pushing for widespread rooftop solar adoption, offering free installations for SC/ST households and subsidized options for BC communities under the PM Surya Ghar scheme.

“From homes to agriculture, solar power will make Kuppam energy self-sufficient,” he added.

Upgrades to the Kuppam railway station, new road links to Chennai and Bengaluru, and a four-lane highway from Palamaner to Krishnagiri are in the works, turning Kuppam into a key transit and economic node for the region.

Health, Income, and Holistic Progress

CM Chandrababu Naidu outlined his ‘Swarna Kuppam - 2029 Vision’, aiming to make Kuppam a national model for rural development. ₹50 crore has been sanctioned for temple restoration, and large-scale dairy and tourism projects are underway. The constituency is on track to become a horticulture and digital health hub, with the Bill Gates Foundation and Tata Trust collaborating on digital health records.

The CM also highlighted the Jana Nayakudu portal, which is resolving local grievances and administrative issues. Over 10,000 “Bangaru Kutumbalu” (Golden Families) are being supported with dedicated guidance from Margadarsi Kutumbams.

Welfare for the Poor, Responsibility for the Future

The Chief Minister emphasized that both development and welfare must progress in tandem.
Under his leadership, Andhra Pradesh is providing some of the most generous pensions in India, including for people with disabilities and chronic illnesses. He pointed out that AP is the only state providing ₹15,000 monthly pensions to bedridden patients and support to traditional artists.

“I visited a leather artisan in Kovvur and granted pensions to drum artists. Welfare must be meaningful and personal,” said CM Chandrababu Naidu.

Highlights include:
    •    ₹20,000 annually for farmers under Annadata Sukhibhava
    •    Free gas cylinders under Deepam 2.0
    •    AI-powered grievance redressal and WhatsApp governance
    •    Target to eliminate poverty by 2029
    •    15 lakh Bangaru Kutumbalu families to be supported with guides by August 15

”Cycle is the Best” – A Symbol of Progress”

CM Chandrababu Naidu distributed e-bicycles to 400 DWCRA women, emphasizing health, sustainability, and empowerment. “The cycle symbolizes freedom, fitness, and continuity,” he said, reiterating that the cycle (TDP’s symbol) stands for both development and good governance.

A Stern Warning to Political Disruptors

Taking aim at political adversaries, the CM said,
“Certain parties have turned politics into crime. I’ve served as MLA for nine terms—have I ever faced criminal allegations? Yet they orchestrate drama and blame me for tragedies they caused.”

He added, “This is a battle between constructive development and destructive politics. We are fighting for the people, not for power.”

CM Chandrababu Naidu concluded by reiterating that he is committed to transparent governance, grassroots coordination, and inclusive progress. As party president and chief minister, he pledged to integrate administration and party machinery to deliver “political governance that reaches the doorstep of every citizen.”

Key Welfare Initiatives Delivered During the Visit:
    •    Pensions for newly eligible beneficiaries
    •    Tricycles for persons with disabilities
    •    1,000 new Deepam 2.0 gas connections

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Chittoor MP Daggumalla Prasada, MLC Kancharla Srikanth, district officials, and local leaders, who extended a warm welcome to him on his two-day tour of Kuppam.
