Elaborate arrangements for the 77th Republic Day Celebrations:CS Vijayanand

Amaravati, January 7:In view of the 77th Indian Republic Day celebrations being held for the first time in the capital region on January 26th, Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand directed the officials of the concerned departments to make robust and extensive arrangements.On Wednesday, he reviewed the preparatory arrangements for the Republic Day celebrations with the officials at the State Secretariat.

On this occasion, the Chief Secretary said that since the Republic Day celebrations are being held in a public place in the capital region for the first time on the morning of January 26th, he reviewed the arrangements to be made by various departments for the success of the program and issued necessary instructions to the officials. He directed the officials of the concerned departments to take necessary measures regarding adequate drinking water facilities, sanitation management, temporary toilets, barricading, traffic control, and other aspects at the venue of the celebrations.

Chief Secretary Vijayanand directed that strong measures should be taken to successfully conduct the Republic Day celebrations without any scope for errors in the arrangements. In the context of the Republic Day celebrations, the Chief Secretary instructed officials to decorate important buildings including Lok Bhavan, the High Court, the Assembly, the State Secretariat, and the Chief Minister's camp office with electric lights, making them look magnificent. He issued instructions regarding the security arrangements, traffic control, and parking arrangements to be made by the police department. He also directed that all necessary arrangements for the ceremonial parade be made properly. He stated that the CRDA should ensure that the celebration grounds are leveled, cleaned, and made ready in all respects.

He instructed the Horticulture Department to beautifully decorate the entrance to the celebration venue with flowers and to place flower pots on both sides of the entrance path. He directed the Information Department to arrange for the publication of the chief guest's Republic Day message, prepare sufficient copies, and distribute them to everyone.He also instructed them to take measures for a robust public address system and live media coverage. He further directed that, in coordination with various departments, arrangements should be made for the display of tableaux representing the various development and welfare schemes being implemented by the government, in order to create widespread awareness among the public.

He instructed the electricity department to make adequate arrangements for uninterrupted power supply. He directed the medical and health department to keep emergency medical teams and ambulances available at the celebrations venue. He said that the Guntur District Collector should coordinate with various departments and supervise all the arrangements. Chief Secretary Vijayanand also issued instructions to the officials of the respective departments regarding the arrangements to be made.
Earlier, the Principal Secretary General Administration Department, J. Shyamala Rao, explained the arrangements to be made by various departments through a PowerPoint presentation.He said that the themes for the tableaux should be prepared and sent by Thursday, the 8th of this month.

The meeting was attended by CRDA Commissioner K. Kannababu, I&PR Director K.S. Viswanathan, RTGS CEO Prakhar Jain, Guntur District Collector A. Thameem Ansaria,Guntur Dist.SP Vakul Jindal,Chief Conservator of Forests Dr. P.V. Chalapathi Rao, Protocol Additional Director Mohan Rao, and other officials. Also participating virtually were MA&UD Principal Secretary Suresh Kumar, Additional DGP Law and Order Madhusudhan Reddy, Medical and Health Department Secretary Saurabh Gaur, Commissioner of that department G. Veerapandian, and officials from R&B, Transco, Horticulture, Fire Services, Army, NCC, and other departments.
