NIRD Training Program to Begin on February 3

Vijayawada: MP Kesineni Sivanath is diligently working towards the holistic development of 295 villages within the Vijayawada Parliamentary constituency, with a vision to create at least one entrepreneur in every family. On Sunday, a special meeting was held at a private hotel in Gurunanak Colony, attended by representatives from the National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) and District Collector Lakshmish.

In this meeting, MP Kesineni Sivanath outlined his strategic plan to transform rural areas into developed panchayats. He emphasized the goal of achieving comprehensive development in all 295 villages within two and a half years. Collector Lakshmish assured full support and cooperation for the upcoming development initiatives.

The NIRD representatives announced that a pilot project would be launched in the Tiruvuru, Mylavaram, Jaggayyapeta, and Nandigama constituencies. Each constituency will have six villages grouped into a cluster, with a total of 32 individuals from these clusters receiving training at NIRD in Hyderabad. The 15-day training program is scheduled to begin on February 3, focusing on rural development and self-employment opportunities.

As part of the "Developed Panchayat" initiative, the training will address key areas such as creating energy-efficient villages, healthy villages, child welfare villages, women-empowered villages, women-friendly villages, and poverty-free villages. Participants will also receive guidance on self-employment and product development. MP Kesineni Sivanath pledged to assist in marketing and branding the products created in these villages by collaborating with reputed companies.

NIRD Senior Consultant Mohammad Khan, Associate Professor Dr. Anjan Kumar Banja, and officials Dilip Kumar Paul, Muralikrishna, and OSD Venkat Ratnam, among others, attended the meeting.
