Indian Bank Sanctioned ₹.506.60 Crore under FGMO to 3844 Self Help Groups

Indian Bank, under the Financial Inclusion and General Manager Outreach (FGMO) initiative, organised a large-scale outreach camp in Vijayawada.

The Mega SHG Outreach Camp aimed to bolster the empowerment of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in the Hyderabad region. A staggering total of 3,844 SHGs have been granted a substantial sum of ?506.60 crore under the FGMO, Hyderabad span, marking a significant step towards financial inclusion and support for these groups. As part of Indian Bank's commitment to digital transformation, customers were introduced to the INDOASIS platform and QR code technology during the event. These digital solutions are expected to provide convenience and accessibility to banking services for the beneficiaries.

The occasion graced by Hon’ble Executive Director Shri.Mahesh Kumar Bajaj in the presence of Shri.Ganesaraman. A, Field General Manager, Hyderabad, Shri.Mani Subramanian, General Manager (Rural Banking), Shri.V.V.R.K. Subrahmanyam, Zonal Manager, Vijayawada, Shri.D.Suryanaraya Murthy, Zonal Manager,Amaravathi, Shri.Biswanath Das, DZM/Vijayawada and Shri.K.Krishna Mohan, DZM, Amaravathi and other Zones were connected virtually. Total 3844 Self Help Groups have been sanctioned ₹.506.60 Crore under FGMO, Hyderabad span. Customers were on boarded to Digital platform viz. INDOASIS and QR Code.
 

In alignment with the directives of the Department of Financial Services, Government of India, a Gram Panchayat Level Saturation Programme for Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) was conducted at Vanukuru village. During the programme, QR codes were issued to customers as part of the ongoing Digital Transformation campaign. Furthermore, to provide immediate financial assistance, cheques worth Rs. 2,00,000 each were handed over to PMJJBY claimants B. Karuna, S. Lakshmi, Ch. Rajesh, and S. Durga Rao
