Krishna District Additional SP V.V. Naidu Urges Public to Use “Meekosam” Grievance Platform for Quick Redressal
The “Meekosam” grievance redressal programme, initiated by the Andhra Pradesh government to resolve public issues promptly, was conducted at the District Police Office under the directions of SP V. Vidyasagar Naidu, IPS. Additional SP (Admin) V.V. Naidu received petitions directly from complainants.
Arrangements were made to ensure that visitors faced no inconvenience. Police personnel assisted elderly complainants who were unable to walk. A total of 28 complaints were received during the programme.
The Additional SP interacted personally with complainants to understand their issues and directed concerned officials to conduct immediate inquiries and resolve matters swiftly according to their severity. He assured that people could approach the police without hesitation and obtain justice within the legal framework.
Key Complaints Received
Kavitha from Vadlamannadu alleged that agricultural land given as dowry during her marriage was occupied by her in-laws, who also forced her and her husband out of the house.
Vinod from Tadigadapa claimed his wife, influenced by her parents, was creating disputes and filing false cases against him.
Narasayya, an elderly man from Koduru, alleged that a tenant who leased his farmland had not paid dues for two years and had resorted to physical intimidation.
Kamala from Machilipatnam complained of harassment by her in-laws for additional dowry despite fulfilling earlier demands.
Police officials stated that prompt action would be taken to ensure justice to the complainants
