Andhra Pradesh Unveils New Industrial Policy 2024–29; Proposal Made for Tribal Industrial Park Near Stuvartpuram

Vijayawada, April 4:The Andhra Pradesh government launched its New Industrial Policy 2024–29 at NOVOTEL Hotel in Vijayawada. The event was attended by Minister T.G. Bharat, Kondapalli Srinivas Rao, Principal Secretary Yuvraj (IAS), AP Food Processing CEO Gaddam Shekhar Babu, along with other officials and public representatives.

During the event, a proposal was presented under the theme “Stuvartpuram to Startup Puram: Local Tribes to Global Traders”, focusing on tribal economic transformation. The vision document was prepared by Dasari Devaraju, State Vice President, and presented by Malli Bhaskar Rao, President of the Tribal Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industries (TICCI), Andhra Pradesh Chapter.

The proposal recommends the establishment of a Tribal Industrial Development Park (TIDP) in the plain areas near Stuvartpuram, located between Bapatla and Chirala. The park aims to support the economic development of local tribal communities.

Kondapalli Srinivas Rao was briefed on the need for the park. He assured that the matter would be brought to the attention of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and promised full support for its implementation.

Rajesh Rathod, Joint Secretary of TICCI Andhra Pradesh, also took part in the event.
