Masula Festival at Manginapudi Beach Will Be Grand and Historic: Minister Kollu Ravindra

Manginapudi Beach is set to host the Masula Festival 2025 from June 5 to 8, and it will be conducted in a grand, unforgettable manner, declared Minister for Mines, Geology, and Excise, Kollu Ravindra.

On Monday afternoon, the minister held a press meet at the District Parishad Convention Hall alongside District Collector D.K. Balaji and District SP R. Gangadhar Rao to discuss festival preparations.

Highlights Announced:

The Masula Festival will run for four days and is designed to be one of the biggest festivals in India, with a strong emphasis on tourism development.

It will include water sports, adventure sports, entertainment events, beach volleyball, and beach kabaddi.

24 states will send men's and women's teams, and over 2,000 top athletes are expected.

Kayaking will be introduced for the first time in Andhra Pradesh, at Manginapudi Beach.

The festival will kick off at 9 AM on June 5 with the inauguration of a 60-foot replica of the Amaravati Assembly Tower as the entrance arch.

A 100-foot national flag will be hoisted on the same day.

Exhibition stalls will open that evening, with 100 stalls showcasing Kalamkari textiles, Etikoppaka crafts, and local products.

Cultural and Entertainment Programs:

Run on June 3: A 2-kilometer marathon from Koneru Center to Lakshmi Talkies, featuring actors like Nara Rohith, Manchu Manoj, and Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas.

From the evening of June 6, renowned musicians and film artists will perform.

Daily cultural programs include classical dance like Kuchipudi.

Regional and national cuisine varieties will be presented in food stalls.

Safety and Infrastructure:

Strict safety protocols will be in place, especially for sea-related activities, overseen by Marine Police and Fisheries Departments.

A control room with 25 video cameras will ensure live coverage.

A dedicated Information Center will serve tourists.

CC cameras, proper traffic control, and parking zones (4 locations) are being arranged.

A detailed route map for vehicles will be released for public awareness.

Expected Impact:

Minister Ravindra emphasized the economic boost to regional GDP and urged hoteliers, local associations, media, and community leaders to unite in making the festival a success.

The iconic Amaravati gateway and 100-foot flag are expected to position Manginapudi Beach as a prime tourist spot, especially on weekends.

Statements from Officials:

Collector D.K. Balaji: Emphasized arrangements for national-level sports, heli-rides, and cultural programs. Handloom products will gain better market exposure through exhibitions.

SP Gangadhar Rao: Announced deployment of 1,000 police personnel, a clear traffic plan, and strict surveillance to ensure public safety.

Other dignitaries present included officials from MEPMa, local leaders, and representatives from various government departments.
