Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satyakumar Yadav is extending developmental work in Dharmavaram not only through his public role but also through the charitable activities of the Sanskruti Seva Samiti, a service organisation he has run for 15 years in the name of his daughter Sanskruti. The organisation is distributing free bicycles to about two thousand Class 10 students from government schools in the constituency. The cycles will be presented on Thursday by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. The organisation has spent about 98 lakh rupees for the initiative.
The Samiti also paid examination fees amounting to 2.6 lakh rupees for 2,087 Class 10 students from 41 government schools. Six government schools in Dharmavaram received new toilets constructed at a cost of 35 lakh rupees.
The Minister’s service programs focus on education, healthcare and livelihood. Unemployed youth from BC, SC and ST communities who completed graduation are being trained for civil services and Group 1 examinations. A batch of about 25 candidates is receiving two years of free coaching in Dharmavaram and the total expenditure is expected to reach one crore rupees.
Employment generation has been a priority. A mega job fair organised by the Samiti provided jobs to 2,400 candidates. Monthly job fairs conducted with the Skill Development Corporation provided another 2,066 placements. Training is also being provided for banking sector exams, particularly for candidates from the Nandyal region.
Drinking water facilities have been improved with the installation of 50 LPH RO plants in schools and hostels. Large capacity RO systems were set up in BC Colony and Kethireddy Colony at a cost of 20 lakh rupees. Five water ATMs were installed in Dharmavaram for 15 lakh rupees.
The Minister is also working to set up an Ayurvedic medical college and additional educational institutions in the constituency. He initiated the construction of extra classrooms at the Government Junior College and is working to improve infrastructure and staffing in local institutions. Special medical camps are also being organised as part of ongoing service efforts.
