Vijayawada, June 11, 2025 — In a state-level press gathering held in Vijayawada to mark 11 years of PM Narendra Modi’s central government, Union Coal and Mines Minister and BJP Telangana President G. Kishan Reddy highlighted the government's achievements.

BJP has completed 11 years of governance, marking a new “golden era” since PM Modi took office in 2014.
Focus on balanced development across sectors and social justice. India’s global reputation has risen under this government.
India has become the world’s fourth-largest economy, surpassing Japan. The IMF confirms growth from $2.1 trillion in 2014 to $4 trillion. The aim is to reach $5 trillion soon.
25 million people have been lifted from poverty. Poverty rate dropped from 29.17% in 2013–14 to 11.28% in 2022–23. Per capita income rose 67%, from ₹68,572 to ₹114,710.
Welfare schemes helped reduce extreme poverty from 27% in 2011–12 to 5% in 2022–23.
Free food ration is being provided to 810 million people. Over 4 million poor families received homes through central schemes.
Cooperative Federalism & Tax Reform
Replaced Planning Commission with NITI Aayog for scientific state-level planning.
Introduced GST with all states’ support.
Increased states’ share of tax revenue from 32% to 41–42%, recognizing states’ rights.
Anti-Black Money & Tax Reforms
Demonetization was a major move against black money.
Tax payers rose from 69.1 million (2014) to 156.6 million (2024–25), a 127% increase.
Net direct tax collection rose 220%, from ₹7.99 lakh crore to ₹27 lakh crore.
Raised the income tax threshold to ₹12 lakh to ease burden on middle class.
Farmers’ Support
Increased Minimum Support Price for rice and cotton by 81% and 108% respectively since 2014.
PM-KISAN has directly deposited ₹3.7 lakh crore into accounts of 110 million farmers. The 19th tranche in Feb 2025 benefited 98 million farmers, including 24.1 million women.
Grain output reached 331 million tonnes. Subsidized urea/DAP at ₹18,000 per acre.
Promoted mechanization and drone tech to boost productivity.
Defence & Security
Prioritized national security. Carried out surgical strikes (2016), Balakot airstrikes (2019), and Operation Sindhur post-Pulwama.
Boosted defense manufacturing: INS Vikrant, Tejas jets, Pinaka rockets.
Under Home Minister Amit Shah, left-wing extremism dropped: violence fell 53%, attacks fell 72%, and deaths dropped 70%.
Domestic defense production hit ₹1.27 lakh crore; exports rose to ₹23,622 crore—a 34× increase since 2013–14.
Make in India & Ease of Doing Business
Strengthened manufacturing, exports, and business climate.
India improved in Ease of Doing Business from rank 142 (2014) to 63 (2019).
During COVID, promoted “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” and “Vocal for Local”.
Startups & Education
Startups rose from 350 (2014) to 150,000 (2024), including 110 unicorns. Women are directors in 50,000 startups.
They generated 1.7 million jobs.
National Education Policy led to increase of IIMs (13 → 21) and IITs (16 → 23); IIT seats rose from 65,000 to 135,000.
14,500 schools renovated; Khelo India supports youth sports via 1,048 institutes.
Infrastructure & Connectivity
Invested heavily in highways (500% increase), railways, ports, and smart cities.
National highways grew from 91,000 km (2014) to 146,000 km (2024).
Village roads increased from 420,000 km to 770,000 km.
Railway capital spend rose from ₹29,055 crore to ₹242,000 crore.
Introduced Vande Bharat trains; 136 currently run, including five in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Under UDAN, network grew from 71 to 159 airports and 625 routes.
Metro rail expanded from five cities (283 km) to 23 cities (1,000+ km).
Financial Inclusion
PM Jan Dhan Yojana accounts rose from 14.72 crore (2014) to 54.58 crore (2025)—₹2.46 lakh crore deposits. 55% are women.
Startup India approved ₹53,609 crore loans; 68% to SC/ST/women entrepreneurs.
Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana extended ₹33.65 lakh crore, 68% to women.
Health & Social Welfare
Ayushman Bharat covers 500 million people and all above 75 receive free treatment.
AIIMS expanded from 7 to 26 centres.
Over 1.54 crore registered under Atal Pension Yojana (2019), now 7.33 crore (2025).
Jeevan Jyoti insurance covers 22.52 crore people.
Sanitation & Women’s Empowerment
Spent ₹95,000 crore under Swachh Bharat, pushing rural sanitation from 34% (2014) to 100% (2019). Nearly 586,000 villages declared open-defecation free.
Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign improved girl child sex ratio and education.
Reserved 33% seats for women in local bodies. Repealed Triple Talaq.
Over 70 million poor women received free LPG connections through Ujjwala scheme.
Culture & Heritage
Ayodhya Ram Temple completed without political pressure.
Article 370 revoked to bring peace and promote tourism in J & K and Ladakh.
Celebrated constitutional milestones, including G20 across 60 cities.
Recognised Telugu heroes: Alluri Sitarama Raju's 125th birth anniversary and Ghantasala’s centenary. Awards like Bharat Ratna for PV Narasimha Rao and Padma honours to Ramoji Rao, Venkayya Naidu, Chiranjeevi, Dr. Nageswara Rao, S.P. Balasubrahmanyam.
Local Event in Vijayawada
State BJP chief Daggubati Purandeswari and central minister Kishan Reddy arrived at Gannavaram Airport, received a grand welcome and led a rally to Ramavarappadu Centre, where they planted trees. A new book on PM Modi’s 11 years in office was launched, followed by an exhibition opening.
