Kurnool: Education and IT minister Nara Lokesh stressed the importance of remaining active and accessible to the public after coming to power, and he urged party leaders not to become complacent but to continue serving the people with dedication. The minister addressed a meeting with party workers and leaders of the Guntakal constituency, held at Ramarajupalle near Gooty in Anantapur district on Thursday.

“Everyone celebrates victory, but we must not forget the humiliations and challenges we endured from 2019 to 2024. Despite doing nothing wrong, Chandrababu Naidu was jailed for 53 days. We stayed patient and secured a historic win, achieving 94 per cent of the seats—an unprecedented mandate,” Lokesh said. Finance minister Payyavula Keshav noted that the government is struggling to pay salaries and allowances but continues to run the government based on Chandrababu Naidu’s policies and brand image, even after the elections. Local MLA Gummanur Jayaram credited Nara Lokesh’s Yuvagalam Padayatra for inspiring courage and determination among the youth. Anantapur MP Ambika Lakshminarayana, Anantapur Parliament segment TD president Venkatasivadu Yadav, and several other leaders also took part in the programme.
