The Minister said that the number of organ donors is increasing as a result of the measures and awareness programmes being undertaken by the Government. In 2023, 41 donors came forward and 126 organ transplants were done. In 2024, 66 donors came forward and 210 organ transplants were done. In 2025, 93 donors came forward and 300 organ transplants were done. This year, 74 donors have come forward and more than 200 organ transplants have taken place. The government aims to have more than 100 donors and more than 400 organ transplants by the end of the year. He said that more decisions are being taken in this sector under the guidance of Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu.
