Preserving Ancient Traditions: MP Kesineni Sivanath Inaugurates Ox Cart Pulling Competition

Nandigama Manda (AP), February 28, 2025: The NDA alliance government has fostered an environment where people can celebrate festivals with joy and enthusiasm. Every individual must take responsibility for preserving the ancient traditions and cultural heritage of our villages, said MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni).

As the chief guest, MP Kesineni, along with MLAs Sriram Rajagopal and Venigandla Ramu, attended the inauguration of the Ox Cart Pulling Competition at the Sangameshwara Swamy Temple Fair in Damuluru Koodali village, Jaggaiahpeta constituency. TDP NTR district president Nettem Raghuram also participated in the event.

Before the inauguration, the dignitaries visited the Sangameshwara Swamy Temple and received blessings. The prestigious Inter-Telugu States Ox Cart Pulling Competition, organized under the temple’s administration, was formally launched by MP Kesineni and the MLAs by breaking coconuts as a mark of auspicious beginnings. The leaders enthusiastically observed the competition, interacted with devotees, and even took part in the festivities. MP Kesineni wielded the Bana Karra, MLA Rajagopal held the Tatayya, and the district president carried the Charnakolu, all while riding the ox cart and engaging with the crowd.

Addressing the media, MP Kesineni expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to visit the historic Sangameshwara Swamy Temple, calling it a blessing. He asserted that under Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership, Andhra Pradesh is progressing towards development, with the NDA alliance striving to improve public welfare. When questioned about G.V. Reddy, he clarified that Reddy remains a member of their party and has not left.

The event saw participation from several key political figures, including Telugu Rythu official representative Kotaru Satyanarayana Prasad, Nandigama Mandal Party President Veeranki Veeraswamy, Mandal Party General Secretary Thota Nagamalleswara Rao, former Mandal Parishad President Manne Kalavati, Telugu Yuvatha Mandal President Mannepalli Vinay, Damuluru village Sarpanch Gajula Ramarao, Sangameshwara Temple Chairman Ginjapalli Srinivasa Rao, TDP Village President Muvva Veerayya, and other leaders like Charl Tulasi Rao, Siddu Shiva, Cherukuru Haimarao, Kothapalli Brahmam, Venkata Narasayya, and BJP Mandal Party President Kovela Mudi Venkateswara Rao. Along with them, numerous NDA alliance leaders and party workers actively took part in the celebrations.
