District Calendars Unveiled | Issues Surfacing Across the State | Monthly State Committee Meetings

Tulluru, January 25:
Prathipati Chandramohan, National President of the Forum for RTI (FRTI), stated that the protection of the Indian Constitution is the core mission of FRTI. He was the chief guest at the FRTI Andhra Pradesh State Committee meeting held on Sunday at Hasini Multispeciality Eye Hospital in Mandadam. The meeting was chaired by State General Secretary Sheikh Sardar Basha.

Addressing the gathering, Chandramohan said that over the past three years, the FRTI cadre has been shaped to function with ethics and integrity, and district committees have been completed across all districts. He said the organization is working to create public awareness, prevent governments from implementing anti-people policies, and curb corruption.

He pointed out that governments are expected to educate people about laws, and in this context, FRTI is conducting awareness programs with the support of government bodies and progressive organizations.

National President Matta Prasad, speaking on the occasion, stressed the need to take forward the organization’s ideology and objectives. He stated that RTI activists are protected under law and demanded that State Information Commissioners impose fines and disciplinary action on Public Information Officers in hearing cases, and also ensure compensation for activists’ expenses.

The meeting resolved that the State Government should conduct awareness seminars, form coordination committees in districts, expedite Amaravati’s development, immediately develop and hand over plots to farmers, and provide protection to RTI activists.

Calendars prepared with legal awareness content by the Krishna District, Amaravati Committee, and State Committee were unveiled by Chandramohan and Matta Prasad.

Amaravati President Kommineni Varalakshmi, Amaravati Advisory Council Member Aluri Uma Maheswara Rao, Youth President P. Saidulu, AP Advisors Battula Murali, journalist Ravi of Suryudu daily, Chandrasekhar from Tirupati, Shiva Shankar from Kakinada, National Vice Presidents Victor Paul, Anitha, Rehman, Devarakonda Ramu, State Employees President Sudhakar, Satyanarayana, and others spoke on various public issues.

A large number of members from several districts attended the meeting.
