State Youth Festival Yuva 2025 scheduled for December 18 to 20
Vijayawada, December 4, 2025: The Department of Youth Services announced that the State Youth Festival Yuva 2025 will be held from December 18 to 20 at KL University in Vaddeswaram. Commissioner of Youth Services S Bharani said the goal of the festival is to identify and showcase the skills and creativity of young people.
Speaking at a press meet held at IGMC Stadium, Bharani said the festival will be organised with the theme Youth for Swarnandhra to highlight the role of youth in the progress of the state. District level winners from across the 26 districts will compete in the state level events. Winners will be nominated to represent Andhra Pradesh at the National Youth Festival 2026. The department expects around 700 participants between the ages of 15 and 29.
As per national guidelines competitions will be held in folk dance, folk songs, painting, poster making, poetry, story writing and innovation exhibits. Certificates and mementos will be presented to first and second prize winners. All participants will receive certificates.
The festival will feature panel discussions, Youth Con sessions and Youth Impact Labs. A grand carnival parade with district contingents will mark the inauguration. More than 2,000 selected youth will take part in various programs. Industrial leaders, policy experts, medical professionals, civil servants and social entrepreneurs will participate.
To provide wider exposure to youth the department is collaborating with CII, I WIN, AP Chamber of Commerce, Telugu associations abroad, NSS units, voluntary organisations and community groups. Final rounds and awards of the digital marathon AndhraYuvaSankalp2k25 will also be held.
Bharani said ministers Nara Lokesh and Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy expressed hope that the youth will become intellectual contributors to the development of Swarnandhra Pradesh and Viksit Bharat. The curtain raiser for Yuva 2025 was unveiled at the event.
