Amravati, 12 March: Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand has directed the district collectors, SPs, education department officials and others to take necessary steps to ensure that the Class 10 public examinations, which will be held from 17th of this month to till the 1st April are conducted smoothly without any untoward incidents.On Wednesday, a video conference was held with the district collectors and SPs from the State Secretariat to review the preparations for the Class 10 examinations. Speaking on the occasion, he ordered strict measures to be taken to prevent any untoward incidents during the conduct of the examinations. He clarified that no one except the Chief Superintendent will be allowed to enter the examination centers with their mobile phones. If anyone brings mobile phones, they should be collected and stored at the main gate of the examination centers and returned after the examination. He said that restrictions under Section 144 should be imposed within 100 meters of the examination centers on the days of the examinations. Similarly, the collectors have been asked to take appropriate measures to ensure that all Xerox and Net centers within the limits of the examination centers are closed. CS Vijayanand has ordered.
CS Vijayanand has made it clear that strict action will be taken against those who spread rumors like paper leaks or fake news on various social media and other media during the exams. If such things are spread anywhere, an immediate investigation should be conducted and appropriate clarification should be given. If it is found that fake news has been spread, legal action will be taken against such people. Recently, rumors like paver leaks have come up during the conduct of BED exams, so the Collectors and SPs have been instructed to be fully alert and take strict steps to conduct the exams smoothly. He said that coordination committee meetings should be held immediately with district level officials under the leadership of the District Collector and SPs to ensure the smooth conduct of the upcoming 10th class exams. CS Vijayanand has instructed the Collectors to focus special attention on sensitive examination centers.
Earlier, State School Education Director V. Vijaya Ramaraju made a power point presentation regarding the conduct of Class 10 examinations and said that a total of 3,450 examination centers have been set up, out of which 163 have been identified as sensitive examination centers and special CCTV camera surveillance arrangements are being made there. He said that a total of 6,19,275 students will appear for the Class 10 examinations, out of which 3,15,697 boys and 3,3578 girls will appear. He said that most of the students will appear in Kurnool, Anantapur and Prakasam districts.He said that 156 flying squads and 682 sitting squads have been appointed to conduct the examinations smoothly. He also said that special nodal officers have been appointed for each district. At the state level He said that a special control room has been set up with the number 08662974540 and advised the collectors to set up special control rooms in the districts as well. He said that confidential material related to the conduct of the exams has already been sent to the districts. In view of the summer, he suggested that adequate drinking water facilities should be provided in all the examination centers and an ANM should be made available for services like first aid in each center. He asked the electricity department officials to ensure continuous power supply without interruption during the exams.
Similarly, from March 17 to 28, the 10th class (Open School) public examinations will be held from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm every day, and 30,334 students will appear for these examinations, said Director Vijaya Ramaraju. He explained that arrangements are being made to conduct these examinations in 471 regular examination centers. Vijaya Ramaraju explained that all necessary advance arrangements are being made to ensure that the upcoming examinations are conducted smoothly.
Principal Secretary of the General Administration Department Mukesh Kumar Meena, CCLA G. Jayalakshmi, and several education department officials participated in this meeting. District Collectors, SPs, JCs, DEOs, and officials of related departments also participated in this meeting virtually.
