Two-day Collectors’ conference to commence from today (Sept 15)

Collectors’ conference to focus on civic services and welfare schemes

AMARAVATI: The fourth collectors’ conference will be held for two days starting from tomorrow (Sept 15) at  AP Secretariat from 10 a.m. The conference is going to focus on civic services and implementation of welfare schemes to make the officials answerable to people.

As per schedule on the first day tomorrow a presentation will be given on GSDP. The district collectors will submit their presentations on  progress of primary sectors including agriculture, industries, service sector and tourism  and housing sectors at first. Later on the progress of welfare, super six programmes, Anna canteens and P 4 schemes followed by logistics, infrastructure, highways, ports, airports, irrigation projects and power sector. In the fourth phase presentations will be given on Swachandhra, Circular economy, panchayatraj and Municipal administration.

On the second day of session on September 16 presentations will be given on human resources, health, education and Skill development followed by IT, quantum valley, Ratan Tata Innovation Hubs, Whatsapp services, data lake and Artificial intelligence. In the seventh phase discussions will be held on revenue generation, excise and commercial taxes, mining, forest, transport, Panchayat raj departments and finally the Chief Minister is going to discuss with Collectors and district superintendents of Police on law and order. In the concluding session the Chief Minister will discuss with collectors on people's perception levels  on civic services being provided by government.
