Dilli Rao the press release on the status of Urea supplies stated that as on 31st August 2025 , an area of 31.15 lakh hectares of normal area of different crops , an area of 22.12 lakh hectares have been cultivated so far .
For Kharif 2025, Andhra Pradesh requires 6.22 lakh metric tonnes of urea
Against this requirement, 6.57 lakh metric tonnes have been allocated by the Government of India, ensuring sufficient buffer stocks.
Of this, 5.48 lakh metric tonnes have already been supplied. Another 1.09 lakh metric tonnes are available in stock (as per iFMS records). Hence, there is no shortage in the state.

Last year vs this year comparison:
Up to August 2025, Andhra Pradesh received 5,37,185 MT of fertilizers as against 4,52,659 MT during the same period in 2024 — an increase of 84,526 MT.
Hence, due to higher allocation and advance planning, there is no scarcity of fertilizers in the state.
Total requirement of Urea for September is 1.55 lakh MT, whereas 1.59 lakh MT has already been allocated. For Rabi season, the requirement is 9.38 lakh MT and the same was alloted by union govt.
Import of Urea thru -
Port / Vessel Status:
Shipments are being received at Kakinada, Krishnapatnam, Gangavaram, and other ports.
In August, against an allocation of 1.65 lakh MT, 0.83 lakh MT only has been supplied so far. Another 0.82 lakh MT is in the pipeline, from different countries .
Cargoes already unloaded:
8,100 MT from CIL (Coromandel Industries Limited )– supplied to Kurnool, Anantapur, Chittoor, Nellore, Kadapa districts. (Arrived Aug 30, distributing till Sept 7)
* 10,800 MT from IPL Indian Potash Limited –Dhumra Port - supplied to Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, East Godavari, West Godavari districts. (Arrived Aug 31)
* 10,350 MT from IPL Indian Potash Limited from Gangavaram Port – supplied to Nellore, Chittoor, Prakasam, Anantapur, Kadapa, Annamayya districts. (To be distributed Sept 2 – Sept 9)
* Additional vessels are scheduled in September for CIL, IPL, NFL, and Narmada Bio, ensuring continuous supply

Finally, Dilli Rao, in his concluding remarks, said , with these measures, sufficient stocks are available, and continuous monitoring is being done.
Keeping in view the current circumstances, Hon’ble Chief Minister is continuously in touch with the Central Government regarding the various vessel allocation of Urea required to the state
District-wise allocations are being regulated to ensure farmers get fertilizers in time.
Finally Dilli Rao urged the farmers of the state need not worry, and it is informed that there is no need to purchase urea beyond the required quantity.
There is no shortage of urea in Andhra Pradesh.
