A Heartfelt Tribute to Telugu People"

At the prestigious Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam, the spotlight was not only on global investments — it was also on the beauty of the Telugu language. The event witnessed a touching moment when a foreign dignitary, despite the challenge, embraced Telugu with immense respect and affection.

Japan’s Ambassador to India, ONO Keiichi,  surprised and delighted the audience as he began his address entirely in Telugu. His pronunciation may have carried a Japanese accent, but the warmth in his words instantly won hearts.

Addressing the gathering at the CII Partnership Summit, he said in Telugu:

“I am very honored to participate in the CII Partnership Summit today. I am happy that this wonderful event will enhance mutual cooperation between companies of Japan and India.”

Those few Telugu lines carried deep emotion — and the hall responded with admiration and applause.

Later, Ambassador ONO Keiichi, took to Twitter to further express his feelings in Telugu.
In a heartfelt message, he wrote:

    “Thank you for inviting me.”
“This is my first speech in Telugu.”

His gesture reflects how the Telugu language — known for its sweetness — is reaching hearts beyond borders.

He also expressed confidence that this summit will strengthen trade relations between Japan and Andhra Pradesh even more. Japan is already actively partnering in key sectors such as steel, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, and major industry hubs like Sri City and Toyota Prefecture. With this event, he said, cooperation will not only continue… but grow stronger.

His Telugu words resonated far beyond the stage — reminding everyone that language is not just a means of communication, but a bridge of friendship and emotion.
